The award is named after the 19th century satirist Mark Twain and is considered as one of the nation's highest honor for achievements in comedy. Since this award which started in 1998, she is the forth woman to receive the same. Will Ferrell, a very well known actor and comedian won the award last year. Bob Newhart, Steve Martin, Richard Pryor and Bill Cosby are among the others who won the award in the past. |
