However the critics say that it is possible only because she gave 12 million pounds to the poverty-stricken country. The supreme court of Malawi granted the singer permission to take the four years old African girl, Mercy James to America. Madonna has given the African state huge sums of money in order to fund orphan aid projects. Madonna said: "I am ecstatic. My family and I look forward to sharing our lives with her." Her lawyer is now waiting for instructions to start preparing for the child's travel arrangements. After the adoption papers are ready, a private jet will fly Mercy to New York. |
